Description
This is a method for examining the liver, gallbladder, bile ducts, spleen, kidneys, adrenal glands,
and pancreas. MRI plays a significant role not only in the assessment of primary oncological lesions of the
abdominal organs but also in the detection of secondary foci in the abdominal cavity and
retroperitoneal space, in the case of oncological pathologies of other organs.
MRI indications:
• Detected pathologies using ultrasound or other methods that require a more detailed examination
• Abdominal pain
• Jaundice
• Nausea, vomiting
• Weakness, fatigue
• Increased temperature, etc.
MR cholangiography is a magnetic resonance imaging method that allows, without the use of a contrast
agent:
– obtain three-dimensional images of the bile ducts
– detect stones in the bile ducts
– find the causes of biliary obstruction, etc.
